Employment Principles
Rolf Lohse has developed a set of employment principles shared with each new employee to encourage their success while also maintaining the momentum, communication, strategy, and enthusiasm required to accomplish large goals; The research-based business principles such as those recommended by Jim Collins also act as guidelines. With twenty years of management success in the complicated and competitive service world of high-end salon and spa operations, Rolf Lohse is a seasoned and ‘in-demand’ player.
Leadership Development
To Rolf Lohse Global, leadership is the energetic process of getting people fully and willingly committed to a new and sustainable course of action, to meet commonly agreed objectives and having commonly held values. Rolf Lohse helps leaders in all kinds of organizations develop their skills and get better results. As specialists in the beauty, spa, and health industry, we pay special attention to achieving an extraordinary level of client-oriented devotion and service.
Sales Training
Sales training is an essential part of any industry even when our specialty tends to emphasize high-end human services rather than products. At Rolf Lohse we found that most of the common training principles offered in the marketplace relate more to product demonstration and specific item sales. Although this too is essential in the beauty and spa business, we first teach how to sell the deeper concepts of the overall luxury experience. Traditional training focuses too much on what the sales person is saying and doing rather than what our high-end client is feeling, understanding, and desiring. Due to the sophistication of our high-end luxury clients, we focus first on authenticity, care, and devotion to the client's experience. Once this is accomplished, associated products are generally assumed to be of ‘must-have’ quality.
Mentoring
The Merriam-Webster defines a mentor as 'a trusted counselor or guide. At Rolf Lohse we define a mentor as 'a seasoned inspirational advisor or coach. A mentor is an individual, usually older, always more experienced, who helps and guides another individual’s development. At Rolf Lohse's this guidance is not done for personal gain but because we are all in the same boat, paddling together on the same mission. Leadership is about providing good examples and supporting the process of accelerated learning.
Benchmarking
Benchmarking, once the sole property of manufacturing accountability, has become a critical tool for strategic planning, operational management, quality enhancement, and even employee motivation. Simplified, we believe that benchmarking is the process of determining what's actually working and what the standard of change and comparison are. Benchmarking is usually part of a larger effort, usually a Process Re-engineering or Quality Improvement initiative. Within the high-end service industry benchmarking may be more qualitative rather than quantitative. Carefully selected benchmarks indicate the quality of business as a whole while improperly selected benchmarks can steer a company off track.
